Information on Cook County:

Cook county was first created in 1874.  It's county seat is Grand Marais.  It's cities, towns and communities include:  Chippewa City, Covill, Grand Marais, Grand Portage, Hovland, Lutsen, Maple Hill, Pigeon River, Red Rock, Schroeder, Taconite Harbor and Tofte.  Cook County is located in northeastern Minnesota, with Canada to its north, Lake Superior to the south and east, and Lake County Minnesota to the west.

This project will endeavor to provide actual transcriptions of Marriage Applications, and other Marriage Records, as found recorded in the county court house and state archives. We are encouraging these transcriptions to be entire marriage books and/or rolls of microfilm.
