Information on Houston County:

First created in 1854. County Seat is Caldonia. Houston County is located in the southeastern corner of Minnesota.  Neighboring Minnesota counties include:  Winona county to the north and Fillmore county to the west. The Wisconsin counties of La Crosse and Vernon are at it's eastern boundary and the Iowa counties of Winneshiek and Allamakee are at it's southern border.

This project will endeavor to provide actual transcriptions of Marriage Applications, and other Marriage Records, as found recorded in the county court house and state archives. We are encouraging these transcriptions to be entire marriage books and/or rolls of microfilm.
